With Magrino

Mary Ogushwitz has spent seventeen years at the intersection of culture, commerce, and conversation. She is the kind of communications strategist who moves between a Martha Stewart cover shoot and an Adweek Award campaign without losing the thread of either, because the thread, for Mary, is always the same: find the story that makes people care, then put it exactly where they will find it.

Her client roster at Magrino has spanned the breadth of the food and beverage world, from the institutional (The James Beard Foundation, America’s Test Kitchen) to the iconic (Martha Stewart, illy, Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich) to the fast-moving (poppi, Lyre’s, TOST). She has worked with chef and media personalities, emerging consumer brands, and global spirits portfolios, consistently delivering the kind of coverage that shapes how a brand is understood in culture, not just consumed.

17+

years in media relations,
communications, and integrated marketing

In 2021, Mary took a deliberate detour into the corporate side. As Public Relations Director for the Home & Outdoor Division of Helen of Troy, she oversaw OXO and Hydro Flask, then expanded into Marketing Communications Director for OXO, leading full-funnel integrated planning across PR, content, influencer programs, paid and organic social, affiliate marketing, and paid media. It was a complete view of the brand communications ecosystem, and she brought every bit of it back to Magrino when she returned in 2023.
