Situated in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, Scribner’s Catskill Lodge is an eclectic mountain lodge for urban explorers. Originally built in the 1960s, the Scribner’s of today brings key players of the Hudson Valley cultural renaissance together at one property, and evokes the region’s sense of exploration, nostalgia, and craftsmanship through design, programming, and culinary offerings.
Opened spring 2024, The Rounds at Scribner’s are the latest project from Escape Hospitality and Scribner’s Catskill Lodge. A collection of 11 luxurious 12-sided cabins designed by Post Company, The Rounds provide an idyllic escape to nature with minimalist luxuries including outdoor Japanese cedar soaking tubs and showers, fireplaces, and a central oculus in each cabin for optimal stargazing. Anchored by a central communal building, the Apex Lodge stands as an eclectic collection of locally crafted, contemporary furniture. A blue limestone bar greets guests upon arrival and serves up delicious cocktails by night, while a light-filled space provides programming activities as well as, upon request, individual yoga sessions. The Apex Lodge is open to all Rounds and Lodge guests, offering its warm, welcoming space to unwind and socialize.
The all-season property is uniquely positioned to offer a wide range of activities. In the warmer months, adventure-seekers can partake in local hiking, fly fishing, discovering waterfalls, or relaxing by the pool. As the seasons change, nearby Hunter and Windham Mountains are close by for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and more. Along with an on-site “Glice” Skating Rink, guests will find that a lively après ski at the on-property restaurant, outdoor sauna, and numerous fireplaces throughout the property make for a warm return.
Scribner’s restaurant, Prospect, presents picturesque 270-degree views of the Catskill Mountains from floor-to-ceiling windows, and serves a playful twist on local cuisine inspired by the rich and diverse offerings of the Catskills.
