Gstaad Wine & Food Festival
As the agency of record for the Gstaad Wine & Food Festival, Magrino is leading U.S. communications strategy and media relations to position the inaugural festival as a premier global destination for wine, gastronomy, and luxury travel. Our work is focused on building awareness for the festival, its founder Sacha Lichine, and its distinguished network of culinary and wine partners, including some of the world’s most celebrated chefs, winemakers, and hospitality leaders. Since the initial debut announcement in June of 2026, Magrino has secured coverage in New York Post, Rich People Shit, The Drinks Business, Anzeiger von Saanen, and more.

Magrino is building sustained visibility for the Gstaad Wine & Food Festival, with momentum continuing to grow ahead of the 2027 debut.

The Client
Founded by Sacha Lichine
Founded by Sacha Lichine, the visionary behind Château d’Esclans and Whispering Angel, the festival reflects decades of experience at the highest levels of the wine world. Raised at Château Prieuré-Lichine and Château Lascombes and shaped by early exposure to Burgundy, Bordeaux, and the global wine trade, Lichine brings a uniquely international perspective to the creation of a new culinary institution in the Alps.
Conceived in collaboration with leading voices in wine, food, and hospitality, the festival will feature a Culinary Host Committee including chefs Albert Adrià and Alain Ducasse, alongside a distinguished advisory group of wine authorities and cultural figures such as Jane Anson, Matthew Jukes, and Chandra Kurt. The program will also be developed in partnership with renowned hospitality leaders including Lee Brian Schrager and culinary strategist Terry Zarikian, bringing together some of the most influential names in global food and beverage.
The Location
Set Against the Alps
Programming will span curated tastings, chef-led lunches, destination dinners, and immersive vineyard-to-table moments, anchored by a central festival hub. The inaugural festival will feature over 30 internationally recognized wineries and more than 20 leading chefs, showcasing benchmark producers from Burgundy, Bordeaux, and beyond, alongside contemporary culinary voices shaping the future of global gastronomy.
Set against the backdrop of the Swiss Alps, the Gstaad Wine & Food Festival marks the beginning of a new annual tradition in luxury epicurean experiences. A portion of proceeds from the festival will support a dedicated scholarship fund aimed at fostering the next generation of talent in hospitality and the culinary arts.
