Kohler’s legacy of gracious hospitality dates back to 1981, when former Chairman and CEO Herbert V. Kohler, Jr. transformed The American Club, originally built in 1918 to house immigrant workers, into a luxury resort hotel. This vision built upon a broader master plan for Kohler Village, developed by the Olmsted Brothers, the famed landscape architects behind Central Park.
Today, the destination is anchored by The American Club, alongside The Carriage House, Inn on Woodlake, the Cabin Collection, and the private Riverbend club.
