SITUATION

In 2019, Chandon renewed its focus on winery experiences in Napa Valley and looked to reinvigorate its annual American Summer Collection. Crafted in American heritage, the bottles were inspired by the colorful and flowing style synonymous with the winery’s 70’s beginning. Chandon also introduced Chandon AluMini Rose as follow-up to last year’s innovation into the single-serve range in time for key summer holiday moments making Chandon the perfect addition to Summer celebrations.

STRATEGY

Magrino was tasked with garnering impactful press and buzz surrounding the 8th Annual collection and newly created winery experiences. Magrino created a press release and developed Instagram worthy media mailers to showcase the collection with an assortment of Summer essentials. Magrino leveraged existing relationships with regional San Francisco based press and engaged with media that were traveling to Napa Valley to visit the winery. In New York, Magrino worked closely with the Chandon team to create and execute a Chandon Garden Party at Gallow Green at The McKittrick Hotel to showcase the annual summer collection and preview select winery experiences. In advance of the event, Magrino created an intimate VIP tasting with Head Winemaker, Pauline Lhote and select media to taste through the award-winning portfolio.

SOLUTION

Magrino secured placements featuring the 2019 American Summer Collection and winery experiences in top tier media including AOL, Observer, Eater, Daily Mail, Elite Traveler, Haute Living, Lonny, Elite Daily, Forbes and Good Morning America.
