In the Fall of 2023, Magrino clients Destination Kohler, Omni Barton Creek, Casa de Campo and The Ritz Grand Cayman hosted signature food festivals for that creatively showcased the local flavor of each respective region alongside A-list Chef talent to elevate the idea of a traditional food festival experience for the foodie-minded traveler.
Our Solution
Magrino recognized that each unique food experience collectively represented a larger trend of luxury resorts creating and hosting food festivals on property. To maximize pre- and post-event coverage for the events, Magrino implemented a series of tactics to drive to conversation and achieve greater ROI for each event:
- Announce headline talent via press release to generate buzz in advance of tickets going on sale
- Host top-tier food, wine and lifestyle media and influencers for real time and post-event coverage
- Develop trend pitch supported by data to demonstrate the overall food festival trend
Results
Magrino secured A-List journalists and key influencers to attend the events from top outlets such as Forbes, Food & Wine, and VinePair resulting in coverage on the events and resorts overall. The exclusive Conde Nast Traveler announcement in advance of ticket sales going live created a promotional window for data capture, driving 10x the traffic as in years past. The trend pitch resulted in a TravelPulse story featuring all of Magrino’s clients.
