Overview

In 2024, Omni Hotels & Resorts launched Blitzen’s Bar with renowned mixologist Julie Reiner across 13 properties within its vast portfolio and turned to Magrino to ensure the brand owned holiday with dynamic media and influencer coverage that reached new audiences and drove on-premise sales.

Our Solution

To build buzz for the launch of Blitzen’s Bar, Magrino implemented a multi-phased approach that included embargoed interview pitching for Reiner, an announcement release and a launch event in New York City at Omni Berkshire House. Through targeted outreach for the festive soiree, we secured attendance from 25 top-tier media/influencers, including Town & Country, Architectural Digest, The Kelly Clarkson Show and Wall Street Journal. Our team continued momentum once the locations launched within various markets by arranging firsthand visits, securing broadcast interviews with Julie and key property representatives and crafting seasonal pitch angels to insert the concept into relevant holiday coverage. We also managed efforts for an additional smaller-scale media/influencer event for the launch of Omni La Mansión del Rio.

We also supported the execution of the partnership with Reiner by leveraging a longstanding agency relationship, facilitating the process from introductions to contract consultation.

Results

Magrino secured 133 media placements resulting in over 25.5B impressions spanning national and regional travel, lifestyle and food & beverage outlets including Southern Living, Los Angeles Times, “Good Day New York,” Forbes, Axios San Antonio, Eater New Orleans, San Diego Union-Tribune and more. We secured three of the contracted interviews for Reiner that included a feature in Forbes and broadcast coverage with NBC News NOW and CBS Radio. Our influencer efforts resulted in 44 influencer/media experiences and a social reach of 3.3 million.
