When the Magrino team saw the widespread news of the Choco Taco being discontinued, we knew there had to be a fun and creative way to insert some of our clients into this news cycle and “hijack” this news.
Our Solution
Magrino developed the idea for our casino, client Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, to create a Chocotini inspired by the beloved discontinued dessert. The cocktail served as a delectable treat featuring all the things that fans loved about the Choco Taco including cream, waffle cone and chocolate. Magrino leveraged the timely news angle to pitch this new drink to national travel, lifestyle, food and cocktail media.
Results
The new cocktail received much fanfare between both media and guests of the property who ordered the drink. The resort sold nearly 300 Chocotinis in the first seven days. The cocktail received over 100 Million media impressions during the month it was available on property.
