Overview

Amongst a NYC openings boom, Magrino was tasked with launching the Tin Building by Jean-Georges, to build significant buzz and garner impactful coverage across a full spectrum of lifestyle media and platforms. 

Our Solution

Magrino executed a strategic media relations plan to generate impactful media coverage in top tier national travel, lifestyle, F&B and design publications. Starting with developing a compelling press kit that included details on each core component of Tin Building including the people, places and offerings that make it what it is, Magrino then established a strategic timeline to begin media engagement alignment on exclusives, alignment on media targets and strengthening the narrative through 1:1 appointments with key influential media and aggressive pitching efforts. Prior to the official opening, Magrino planned and executed individual media visits including hardhat visits for exclusive launch coverage in addition to on-property experiences including design tours and tasting experiences.

Results

Magrino secured pre-opening buzz through “Most Anticipated Culinary Destination” opening stories appearing in titles including The New York Times and WSJ. Magazine while securing 1:1 meetings with The Wall Street Journal and Travel + LeisureMagrino secured a first exclusive piece in EATER NY promoting the opening of Tin Building, in addition to securing opening coverage in top-tier outlets including The New York Times, Travel + Leisure, Surface, CBS News, Food & Wine Magazine, TimeOut, NBC New York Live and beyond, totaling over 100 placements secured in just one year, and over 200 million impressions within two months of opening alone.
