The Pasta Queen

Bringing A Social Media Sensation to the Mainstream Media

Overview

Nadia Caterina Munno created The Pasta Queen, a social media personality bringing recipes and Italian culture to the masses, in 2020 after seeing the explosion of TikTok during the pandemic. She knew that she needed to share the high-quality, accessible, authentic recipes that have been in her family for generations with the world – and she quickly became a viral sensation, amassing 7M+ followers across her channels by 2024 As Nadia’s brand continued to grow and she planned for extensions off social media, including the launch of her own products and cookbooks, Nadia came to Magrino to manage media relations surrounding these key moments, and raise her awareness and credibility within food & beverage and general lifestyle press.

Our Solution

Utilizing key contracts across target food, business, and lifestyle press, Magrino created a two-pronged approach: use Nadia’s evergreen viral content to pitch and keep her relevant across meaningful press and position her as an authoritative home cook and pillar of Italian culture to have her appear alongside peers in both consumer-facing product launches and always on recipe and food media.

Magrino also consults on content concepts and press roll-out for all brand partnerships, including partnerships with Carnival Cruises and Spanx.

Results

Magrino has secured hundred of millions of media impressions for The Pasta Queen since the start of our relationship, with press surrounding her sauce launch in The New York Times, The Kitchn, Cherry Bombe, and Forbes, and always on brand personality coverage in Business Insider, Brit + Co, The New York Post, Parade Magazine, Apartment Therapy, and more.
