When Pebble Beach Resorts announced the return of their iconic Pebble Beach Food & Wine culinary event after a four-year hiatus, it signaled a shift in the culinary industry. Known as one of the country’s leading food & wine events, Magrino was enlisted to bring awareness to the event on a national level while maintaining media relationships on a local level.
Our Solution
Magrino executed a multi-pronged strategic media and influencer relations plan to drive coverage in top-tier national lifestyle publications and with key tastemakers for the return of the event. Through programmatic-based pitch angles, on-sale and ticket-driving press releases, and regional creator identification and contracting, Magrino was a key partner in establishing local and national coverage at scale. To maintain relationships on a local level, Magrino suggested and coordinated a media preview luncheon which allowed for local media to meet with the production team ahead of opening. For event attendance. Magrino worked with the property team and local tourism board See Monterey for national media to be flown in to experience the diverse programming.
Results
Magrino secured over 100 placements and 1,321,006,986 media impressions. In total from December 2023 – May 2024, Magrino coordinated over 50 local and national media and 4 influencers to attend the 4-day long event. Placements were secured in top-tier outlets such as The TODAY Show, Men’s Journal, The Hollywood Reporter, Golf Pass, SF Gate, Eater, and more, and influencer reach of over 100K across the channels of paid partners.
