SITUATION

Le Jardinier, a modern Michelin Star vegetable-driven restaurant helmed by Chef Alain Verzeroli, opened in May 2019 and Magrino was retained to provide public relations and social media services post opening to continue the momentum and buzz surrounding the new restaurant.

STRATEGY

Magrino built an internal team of traditional PR and digital media specialists who worked in tandem on targeted outreach to promote restaurant happenings on an ongoing basis.

The team leveraged the launch of the opening to get invigorated press while continuing to bring in a new crowd and audience beyond the F&B pages to find the full range of coverage for the restaurant. Additionally, we continued to develop pitch angles to keep the restaurant top of mind as part of our ongoing media relations and submitted the restaurant for appropriate food, beverage, and design awards. The digital team coordinated quarterly photo shoots for Le Jardinier to ensure content for social channels and media outlets were regularly refreshed. Outside of traditional PR/digital services, Magrino regularly used its vast network of contacts to bring impactful event and marketing opportunities to the group including surrounding neighborhood companies in Midtown.

SOLUTION

Magrino’s work has resulted in meaningful coverage in outlets like The New York Times, Eater, Town & Country, Travel + Leisure, New York Magazine, Crain’s New York Business, New York Live Today (NBC), and more. In addition, Magrino has grown the Le Jardinier’s Instagram account by 62%. Le Jardinier was listed as a finalist in the 2019 Eater Awards for Best Design category.
