New York, NY (January 22, 2024) – Magrino, a full-channel communications agency based in New York City, today announced the return of David Mandler as Senior Vice President to lead growth and innovation.
“David’s entrepreneurial spirit and insider perspective will be invaluable as we continue our exciting growth phase and evolve the agency,” said Magrino Chairman and CEO Susan Magrino. “His experience in the spirits world is unmatched and we look forward to expanding in this category with his expertise.”
Mandler has established himself as a 360-marketing innovator, having represented and consulted for some of the world’s most recognizable drinks brands. Most notably, he helped orchestrate the launch of George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman’s Casamigos Tequila in 2013, serving as global head of PR. Other past PR representation highlights include celebrity backed ready-to-drink canned cocktail The Long Drink and WhistlePig Whiskey, leader of the premium rye whiskey category. In addition to drinks industry experience, Mandler has consulted for some of the world’s most respected photographers and content creators while managing PR for international photo agency BFA.com. He also managed PR for renowned lifestyle and automotive photographer, creative director, and editor, Ted Gushue.
In his new role, Mandler will take a lead in new business development, accelerating agency growth into new categories while augmenting Magrino’s integrated marketing capabilities including content development, ground-up event creation, celebrity and talent ambassador programs, and partnership marketing. Over the past two years, Magrino has expanded its leadership team by welcoming back two other agency veterans, Senior Vice President Mary Ogushwitz and Executive Vice President Ariane Romano, helping to drive double digit growth year over year.
Mandler previously spent four years at Magrino servicing a luxury lifestyle client roster ranging from food and spirits such as Louis XIII Cognac, Stoli Vodka, William Grant & Sons, The James Beard Foundation Awards, and Eataly, to renowned travel and hospitality brands like The Ranch, The Plaza Hotel, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
“It is an honor to return to Magrino. I couldn’t be more excited to rejoin Susan and her truly best-in-class team,” said David Mandler. “I look forward to supporting existing clients and playing a role in new business development.”
