Mary is a passionate communications professional with fifteen years of experience in media relations, high-level integrated strategic planning, PR campaign creation, event coordination and execution, product and brand positioning, brand partnerships, paid ambassador & influencer relations, social media strategy, client management, and cross-functional team leadership. Maryspent over 13 years in agency settings from 2008 – 2021, working with clients throughout food, spirits, hospitality, chef & media personalities, consumer, and luxury products. From 2013 – 2021, her work at Magrino included clients such as Martha Stewart, Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Antinori Wines, The James Beard Foundation, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Hakkasan, STK, and more. In 2021 Mary took on the role of Public Relations Director for the Home & Outdoor Division of Helen of Troy, overseeing the OXO and Hydro Flask brands, before assuming an expanded role of Marketing Communications Director for OXO in the Fall of 2021. During that time, Mary oversaw a six-person marketing communications team and led strategic integrated annual brand planning in service of business goals and objectives. She and her team worked to bring campaigns to life across owned, earned and paid channels such as public relations, content marketing, influencer & ambassador programs, organic & paid social, affiliate & email marketing, and paid medi,. She helped to launch the brand’s successful Chefs in Residence program, a chef ambassador program rooted in video content and paid digital/social media, to increase brand awareness and affinity. She used strong media relationships to land the brand on Food & Wine’s “Game Changers list in 2022. She also set strategy and executed philanthropic giving initiatives for OXO via its 1% for the Planet partnership and drove the creation and implementation of corporate responsibility communications across channels.
