AMELIA DURAND

AMELIA DURANDSTRATEGIC DIRECTOR

Amelia Durand rejoined Magrino in 2012 as a specialist in public relations and branding for the agency’s Food and Wine & Spirits practices. With more than 25 years of experience promoting luxury lifestyle products, chefs and personalities, including in-house positions, Amelia brings to the agency proven expertise and a keen understanding of client’s expectations and goals for success.

She originally joined Magrino in 1996 as a Senior Account Executive, managing media relations for Newman’s Own, restaurants Lutéce and Rosa Mexicano, and the launch of Ina Garten’s first book, The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. Following several years in Paris, in 2004, she became Director of Communications for Clicquot, Inc., supervising U.S. press and marketing initiatives for Champagne Veuve Clicquot and Champagne Krug. In 2006, she went on to become Communications Director of the Estates & Wines division of Moët Hennessy USA, overseeing all public relations initiatives for the importer’s eighteen international wine estates and agency brands, including Cloudy Bay, Chandon, Bouchard Pere & Fils, Ceretto, Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau d’Yquem, Chateau La Nerthe, Lapostolle, Livio Felluga, Newton, Numanthia, Castello Monsanto, Cheval des Andes and Terrazas de Los Andes, among others.

As Strategic Director for the Magrino Agency, Amelia’s clients and work since 2012 have encompassed launching numerous restaurant concepts including Le District, The Plaza Food Hall, The Regency Bar & Grill, Le Cirque, STK, Plant Food + Wine by Chef Matthew Kenney and restaurants for Chef Michael Mina and Chef Michel Richard. With oversite of the agency’s wine division, she directs the ongoing public relations and marketing campaigns for the wine brands and portfolios of Chateau d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel, Marchesi Antinori, Booker Wines/My Favorite Neighbor, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, Marques de Riscal, and Mouton Cadet, as well as work with the international team for Illy Caffe, and the launch of Drew Barrymore’s Flower Home line with Walmart.

A native of Louisiana and graduate of Louisiana State University, Amelia enjoys food and music experiences, traveling, exploring wine regions, and life with her husband in New York City.
