Allyn Magrino is a co-founder of the Manhattan-based PR agency Magrino and has been a principal since its inception in 1992. As President, she brings more than 25 years of public relations experience, from media relations to developing strategic alliances for clients, and her international experience and French language skills serve the agency’s global client base well. Allyn works closely with company Chairman and CEO (and sister) Susan Magrino on the agency’s management, direction and fiscal growth, concentrating her efforts on client management and new business development across all of the agency’s divisions.
In addition to serving as President and CRO, Allyn offers strategic guidance across the client portfolio practices (including travel and real estate; food, wine and spirits, and consumer and luxury goods), engaging with clients and the media on their behalf.
Allyn’s creativity, versatility and ability to strategically change direction whenever necessary is a key element in the agency’s ability to accommodate the specific requirements of every one of the agency’s clients. Her understanding and knowledge of clients’ industries and the key players within them, from travel to fashion to food to luxury goods, affords her the ability to develop creative and effective strategies that get results for clients.
Prior to starting Magrino with her sister, Allyn was an account executive with a boutique PR agency, handling public relations for the French West Indies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in French with a concentration in art history from Trinity College in Connecticut and lived in Paris both as a student and working for an American law firm. Allyn serves on the Advisory Board of the Independent Lodging Congress and on the Women’s Leadership Council for Trinity College. She is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), and is on the Tourism and Economic Development Advisory Committee for the town of New Canaan, CT.
