From the beginning, Sur La Table’s founder, Shirley Collins, sought guidance from the world’s best chefs and kitchen brands to deliver exactly what cooking enthusiasts needed to elevate their lives in the kitchen. With 60 stores located throughout the U.S., most of which include a kitchen hosting daily classes, Sur La Table is a trusted resource for cooks of all levels. The brand operates the largest nonprofessional cooking school in the United States where beginner to advanced cooks can attend classes exploring global cuisines, build skills, and find inspiration to live a better life through cooking. And with class series in the summer and winter tailored for kids and teens, Sur La Table is helping budding chefs of all ages embrace their love for cooking. With resident chefs teaching over 30,000 cooking classes a year, the brand annually reaches more than 400,000 attendees in their kitchens and online.

Sur La Table Culinary Journeys
Known for bringing the world of food to you, new in 2024 Sur La Table is partnering with Academic Travel Abroad – an educational travel provider with 70+ years catering to some of the country’s most prestigious organizations – to bring you to the world of food. Launching an immersive series of educational trips across the globe exploring cuisine throughout key culinary destinations, this intimate opportunity allows you access to an in-person guided itinerary of influential firsthand food experiences brought to you by Sur La Table’s culinary director.

To kick off the series, Sur La Table is hosting two Culinary Journeys during the fall in France, which will pay homage to the brand’s founders’ inspiration. Both “A Taste of Northwestern France” and “A Taste of Provence and the French Riviera” will offer behind-the-scenes access to each location with the opportunity to explore new tastes and cultures, brought to you by the trusted experts at Sur La Table.
