Lodging:
In true coastal spirit, the rooms at Sound View are just steps to the beach — reflecting the sand, sea, and sky. The stylish spaces feature interiors layered with textures like hand-braided rugs, light canvas upholstery, Carrera marble countertops, and wooden accents rendered in teak and cedar. Each room at Sound View offers a range of accommodations to suit diverse preferences, from standard rooms to expansive one and two-bedroom luxury suites complete with full kitchens and a generous dining area. Moreover, every guest room is thoughtfully appointed with luxurious amenities, including a Nespresso machine, Malin + Goetz toiletries, Mascioni linens, and complimentary Wi-Fi for a seamless stay experience.

Food & Beverage:
Sound View’s seafood restaurant, The Halyard, celebrates the region’s produce and brings it to your plate—direct from foragers and farmers, growers and fishermen. The team sources many ingredients from the North Fork and the Atlantic Seaboard, working closely with the local Oysterponds Shellfish Co. and KK’s The Farm at Southold, and serves them up in the property’s light-filled dining room and sprawling seasonal deck located directly atop the waters of Long Island Sound. The menu at The Halyard showcases a dedication to freshness and local sourcing, with an enticing variety of delicacies like Oysters, Hot Lobster Roll, Pan-Seared Sea Scallops, and more. Guests can indulge in the true flavors of the sea with every bite.

The iconic Piano Bar is like stepping back in time to an era of timeless elegance. The original 16-foot-long bar has been lovingly upcycled by Brooklyn’s Studio Tack, adorned with classic captain’s bar stools, creating a welcoming space alongside the hotel’s original baby grand piano. Talented artists from the North Fork, NYC, and Sid Gold’s Request Room bring world-class music to life on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, filling the room with captivating melodies and lively rhythms. Guests can delight in the sounds of local musicians performing live, offering an intimate and unforgettable musical experience.

Located along Sound View’s private beach, the Low Tide Bar beckons guests to indulge in moments of pure relaxation. Here, amidst the serene ambiance, visitors and locals converge to revel in artisanal cocktails and locally crafted brews against the backdrop of the North Fork’s most breathtaking sunsets. It’s a cherished locale, widely acclaimed as the quintessential spot to capture the essence of coastal paradise.

Sound View and The Halyard proudly stand as the exclusive waterfront sanctuaries where guests can indulge in the awe-inspiring sunset until venturing farther up the island.
