ABOUT THIS PROJECT

SITUATION

Farrow & Ball, the UK-based heritage brand known for their craftsmanship in paint and wallpaper, engaged Magrino to build awareness, acclaim, and demand for the brand throughout the United States. Magrino was tasked with announcing new paint colors and multiple new collections of wallpaper, assisting with a book tour, and opening 12 new showrooms across the United States, in addition to a number of Architect & Design initiatives.

Magrino was responsible for the renowned brand’s social media platforms, including: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, as well as digital and social media influencer marketing.

STRATEGY

The public relations campaign consisted of a strategic, targeted media outreach to build brand awareness, while positioning the brand as “color experts” through thoughtful media coverage, alliances with like-minded brands, and A&D initiatives that included: Windows By Design (a campaign that Magrino launched in collaboration with Farrow & Ball), designer show houses, a media and designer visit to Dorset, and a Sotheby’s partnership.

Additionally, Magrino’s digital team actively engaged with top-tier digital and social media influencers and micro-influencers to provide paint and wallpaper for their homes in exchange for blog and social content. Notable influencers included: Emily Henderson, Sarah Sherman Samuel, Athena Calderone, A Guy Named Patrick, Garance Doré, and Meagan Morrison.

SOLUTION

Magrino secured impactful coverage in top consumer and trade outlets, including: Architectural Digest, ELLE Décor, GQ, Town & Country, Fast Company, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
