SITUATION

The Ranch had an extremely established and acclaimed lifestyle and wellness retreat with locations in Malibu, CA, Westlake Village, CA, and a pop-up in the Italian Dolomites. With this success, The Ranch wanted to launch a brand-new line of skincare products, The Ranch Beauty, which would allow consumers to take home a small piece of the experience with them, as each product incorporates ingredients from The Ranch’s garden.

The Ranch team looked to Magrino, their agency of record, to launch the products and bring the same amount of prestige to the new beauty products as the team had to The Ranch.

STRATEGY

Magrino built a thoughtful strategy for the launch of The Ranch Beauty and provided recommendations on how to share the news with media. Magrino’s goal was to build as much press around the launch as possible and go far and wide with the news, sharing with media that this would allow more consumers to experience the benefits of The Ranch while at home and not attending the program. Making sure that messaging was consistent, Magrino launched The Ranch Beauty widely with a press release and sample seeding. Magrino also submitted the products to prestigious awards to boost notoriety.

SOLUTION

Immediately following the launch, Magrino began securing placements in top-tier beauty and lifestyle outlets including WWD, Allure Best of Beauty issue, and Domino. Magrino also successfully highlighted the product’s naturally moisturizing and anti-aging properties that are derived from ingredients on the property. Honing in on this messaging made for thoughtful pitches, resulting in incredible stories.
